Winter Holiday Picks

Posted on

I could feel this season is going to freeze my nerves and mark my words you are also going to feel the same as the winter has already ticked and that’s too early. I wondered where I could relive a pleasant climate, at least when the temperature is going to drop to below normal. My intentions are fake… and I’m either going to mingle at the bikini beaches of Goa or going to seethe in the Sun City. Well, having an erotic dilation with my girl at the chiseled sculptures of Khajuraho could also be an ardent pick.

My mind is set to head where I will rejuvenate a retired life at an exhaustive age of 27. At this moment I don’t have any mood to sit and write a professional article but you are lucky that I’m writing this one just to pick up a destination from my own 5 picks as the perfect Winter Getaways.

Goa is obviously an ideal break but I don’t think I could spend some idle moment there. Though it is going to occupy me with lot of beach activities and water sports but my sixth sense says that in between the bikini wears and my lustful eyes there are going to be thousands of retro charm. Well, with a mind alike company I can still think of Goa a perfect place this winter to heed my eyes, feed my stomach, reed my feet and beat my nerves. Ah! The Sunburn festival, Christmas and 31st December baffles me to apply for a leave from work from 23rd of December 2013 to 2nd of January 2014. So if Goa, then this time I’m going to check in at the Casa Baga, which is one of the 4 star hotels in Goa and have heard that it offers an exotic stay.

Holiday Picks

Well, Jaisalmer will be my priority pick. But I wonder how many days I can travel like a nomad amidst the shifting dunes? It’s true that the quixotic climate out there in Jaisalmer during this time of the year is perfect to seethe and greet the warmth but there also I’m going to face thousands like me. Umm… still I’m fine with it. At least I’m going to get back the rowdy age of 27. Nonetheless the sun set at the horizon, desert safari and camping is also the major attractions out there.

3.Ranthanmbore National Park

So I will be picking up Jaisalmer for couple days and thereafter will drive to Ranthanmbore National Park… three days there I think I can bet against my luck to face the wild cats. This is a good plan, only if I’m travelling in a group of 5-6 demented travellers like me. I raise my travellers’ hymn here. The Chokhi Dhani – The Palace Hotel in Barmer Road, Jaisalmer is my pick to stay whereas in Ranthanmbore I have a plan to check in at the Tiger Villa on the Housing Board Road.

Ranthanmbore National Park

In the coming days if my mind changes, Khajuraho along with Orcha and Bhimbetka is my next priority. Though its bit historical and cultural but these destinations are surely going to enchant me. Alike me if you are also going to carry a diary then I think February is going to be the best time to be in Khajuraho. A weeklong festival of classical dances, the Khajuraho dance festival, organised by the Madhya Pradesh Kala Parishad, is one of my major attractions other than the erotic sculptures on the stoically built temples dating back to the 10th century.

Lastly, the rippling backwater of Alleppey is going to be my pick, only if I can accommodate myself in a houseboat. Chances are less as I have a feeling that all the houseboats, which are also called Kettuvallams, are booked by now. Nonetheless I could still imagine an ideal break to the tranquil waters surrounded by palm grove and burping out the local flavour of Keralian cuisine. The Indraprastham Houseboats is my dream place to check in at Alleppey but if you are seeking to experience the local culture, the Deshadan Backwater Resort is the best pick.

So what do you suggest?

Hi Vaidahi,In Orcha i would suggest you stay at the eiehtr of the below hotels.Amar Mahal Orcha or Orcha Resort. Since it is a small accomodation do not expect anything great. The accomodation is best basis yet clean.Instead of Khajuraho i would suggest you look at a place one hour from Khajuraho called Sarai at Toria. This is run by a gentleman can Raghu who is a pioneer in conservation. The place will make you want for more. Plus they have a lot of activities aswell.Do let us know if we could be of any help to you everWith best wishesJatin Kapoor
