GoIbibo got PyConned!!

Goibibo sponsored PyCon 2013 held at NIMHANS convention center, Bangalore at Gold Level . Python Software Society of India (PSSI) holds Python Conferences (PyCons) every year in Bangalore. The three-day event is a gathering of python enthusiasts from all over India. Python enthusiasts meet up every year to discuss new technologies that revolve around python. Python being an integral part of GoIbibo’s technology stack, GoIbibo sponsored PyCon Bangalore, 2013 and showed its support to python society in India.

During this three day event, GoIbibo conducted a workshop on testing python code, gave an interactive talk on how GoIbibo’s technology has evolved, unveiled the beta version of its API portal and interacted with PyCon participants through various quizzes and informal talks over the kiosk. Goibibo developers also participated in the speaker’s meet and dinner.

Goibibo also conducted a hackathon on its API portal. Around 10 to 12 teams of developers registered for the hackathon and at the end of the event, two best app ideas were chosen as winners of the hackathon. The winners were awarded with GoIbibo Gift Vouchers worth Rs. 5000 each.
